Client: Healthcare Provider

Size: 0-5000 Assets.
Scenario: RAY • ALLEN was brought into the opportunity by a vendor to provide the customer with the Online Asset Management Solution. Upon completing the initial audit by comparing the customer's inventory to the inventory that is in Cisco's database, the customer was able to realize a Cisco credit of over $50,000. 65 devices that were on overlapping contracts were discovered by RAY • ALLEN.

Client: Large Satellite Provider

Size: 5,000-10,000 Assets. Fortune 500 Company.
Scenario:
The customer had just completed a 36 month SMARTnet™ renewal. 3 months after the renewal was completed the vendor requested that we audit the customer's contracts to ensure the data integrity between the Customer's inventory and Cisco's inventory. Through our auditing techniques we were able to find over $260,000 in overlapping maintenance contracts. We also discovered that 70 devices that had been removed from the customer's inventory the previous year were included in the renewal and the credit for that over payment was $350,000. The total Cisco credit the customer received was over $600,000.

Client: Large Financial Organization

Size: 10,000-15,000 Assets. Fortune 500 Company.
Scenario:
The customer was going through a SMARTnet™ renewal with their vendor. Some questions arose over what assets the customer still had on their network and what assets had been removed. Unfortunately the customer kept poor records of their adds, moves, changes and RMAs. It was decided that rather than risk having devices not covered, the customer was to pay $1,000,000 in additional SMARTnet™ to ensure that those unknown devices be covered under maintenance. RAY • ALLEN was brought in to audit the customer's data and to provide the customer our asset management solution. After the audit we were able to help the customer recoup $800,000 of that $1,000,000 by showing that there were devices included in the renewal that were no longer in the customer's inventory.

Client: Health Insurance Provider

Size: 15,000+ Assets. Fortune 500 Company.
Scenario: The vendor was performing a large SMARTnet™ true-up. Upon completion of the true-up, RAY • ALLEN performed an audit of the SMARTnet™ contracts. Because of the vendor's inability to accurately provide a clean dataset for the renewal, it was found that the vendor made a mistake totaling over $700,000. Through our auditing process, we were able to determine not only the specific devices that were on overlapping contracts but also all of the overlapping contract numbers.
